Shut Down Vermont Yankee Petition

Vermont Yankee’s corporate owners want to operate this nuclear power plant for an additional twenty years beyond its scheduled closure in 2012. Shutting down this facility on time and replacing it with energy efficiency and renewable energy is critical to safeguard both the citizens and the environment of Vermont.

This petition is a product of Safe Power Vermont, a coalition of citizen based organizations advocating for a clean & safe energy future in Vermont, of which Citizens Awareness Network is a member.
