Silent Art Auction!

Vermont Citizens Action Network is holding a fundraiser to help pay our lobbyist Bob Stannard who has been educating and working with our legislators in Montpelier this year.

We need your help to raise money so he can continue the great work he's been doing into next year when the vote to relicense Vermont Yankee will be held.

We now have the unprecedented opportunity to end nuclear power in Vermont. Vermont is the only state in the US that has reserved itself the right to vote on whether its nuclear reactors should be granted a 20 year license extension. If we are able to stop nuclear power here in Vermont it will send a strong message throughout the country and the nuclear industry. Vermonters want safe renewable energy AND good jobs that don't create long lasting toxic waste.

We CAN do better and we MUST do better to create a safe environment for our children and our community.

The program will include:

Performance by master dancer Caro Diallo from Senegal with drummer
Live Music by Funkified - featuring Eugene Uman, Derrik Jordan, Johnny Yuma, Dan DeWalt, Wim Auer and Bob Stabach and The Island Street Groove Band with Bob Stabach and drummers.

There is a dance floor with lots of space for dancing!

Deb Katz of CAN and our lobbyist Bob Stannard will be there to answer questions.

The Silent Auction will feature pieces by many local artists including Penelope Wurr, Randi Solin, Xi Cai, a massage healing session with Ami Maglin, a membership at the BMAC and much more.

Also CDs by many fine local musicians have been donated.

Refreshments will be provided.

There is no admission charge for this event.

All donations are gratefully accepted.

Please tell your friends and spread the news of this event far and wide.

Send this email to everyone who you think would be interested in supporting the cause. Thanks a million!
